| Lucas Sams' ARTpocalypse NOW! |
 |
"Sams graduated from the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities, studied at Temple University’s Tokyo campus, and currently has a studio in the Tapp’s Art Center. He combines acrylic, oil, enamel, gouache, and wax with a myriad of nontraditional materials, including dead animals, bodily fluids, ants, leaves, shampoo and other personal care products, other oganic material, found objects, et al. As a result, his paintings often decay, which conceptually enhances his work, reflecting the ephemerality of the material world. This show will feature paintings based on images from the Book of Revelation."
